behosh a unconscious, senseless = बेसुध ~ होना to faint: यह सुनकर वह ~ हो गई she fainted on hearing this. [syn. अचेत, बेख़बर]

baṛhatā [ ~ हुआ भी] a (a) increasing, mounting: ~ ऋण -- debt; बढ़ती क़ीमतें -- prices. (b) growing: ~ बच्चा -- child; बढ़ती फ़सल -- crop. [see बढ़ना]

be- pref. without, in-, un-: बे-अदब impolite; बे-इंसाफ़ी injustice; बेकार unemployed; बेघर homeless; etc. [see below. There is a large number of such words, mostly, बे be- + noun = adj. or adv Noun is formed by · ī suffix.]

(b) to settle down: पानी में बालू/रेत बैठ जाती है sand settles down in water; नींव बैठ गई the foundation settled down.
