(b) to split: लकड़ी ~ -- wood; बिजली ने पेड़ को दो टुकड़ो में फाड़ डाला the lightning split the old tree in half. (c) कान ~ to make a deafening noise; गला ~ to shriek; आँखें फाड़-फाड़ कर देखना to stare intently.
