vidyamān a (a) existant: ऐसी परिस्थियाँ तब ~ न थीं such circumstances were not -- (did not exist) then; यह शर्त अभी ~ है this condition is -- still. (b) present: हमं भी उस बैठक में ~ थे we were also -- in that meeting.

vaīrāgy mu detachment: उसे संसार से ~ हो गया he became detached from the world, he retired from worldly attachments. [syn. संन्यास]
