ghumaṛ·nā vi [restricted to clouds] बादल घुमड़ते हैं or घुमड़ आते हैं clouds gather in the sky. [syn. घिरना (d)]

ghisāī fu (a) rubbing: बर्तन की ~ -- a utensil. (b) wear and tear: मशीन की ~ -- of a machine. (c) smoothening: ~ की मशीन -- machine. (d) charges for rubbing/smoothening: मोटर के पुर्जों की ~ क्या लोगे what you charge for rubbing or smoothening motor parts ?

ghar-dvār, घर-बार ghar- bār mu (a) home and hearth: आपका ~ कहा़ं है where is your homeland ? (b) household: अपना ~ अच्छी तरह देखो see to your -- very well. [see घर d]

ghaṭit ~ होना to occur, to take place; एक घटना ~ हूई an event/incident occurred (took place); ऐसा एक बार ~ हुआ it occurred/happened once.

ghup a [restricted to अँधेरा] ~ अंधेरा pitch dark; बिजली फ़ेल हो गई ओर घर भर में ~ अंधेरा छा ग़या the electricity failed and there was pitch dark in the whole house.
