gaṛ·baṛānā I. vi (a) to be confused; यह सुनकर मैं गड़बड़ा गया I got confused on hearing this. (b) to be disturbed; सारी पुस्तकें गड़बड़ाई हुई हैं all the books are disturbed; नींद गड़बड़ाई the sleep was disturbed. II. vt to confuse; तुम दो बातों को गड़बड़ा रहे हो you are confusing two things.

chhoṛ·nā vt (a) leave; स्कूल ~ -- school; उसने बच्चे को माँ के पास छोड़ दिया he left the child with its mother; छाता यहाँ छोड़ दें leave your umbrella here; में यह सब कुछ तुम पर छोड़ता हूँ I leave all this to you; आज का काम कल पर मत छोड़ो don't leave today's work for tomorrow; छोड़िए इन बातों को leave these things alone. tan·nā vi (a) to stretch: चादर or रस्सी आगे तक तन गई sheet या rope stretched further. (b) तंबू तन गया the tent was pitched. (c) भौंहें or मूँछें तन गईं eyebrows या moustaches stood erect; तनकर बैठो sit erect/upright. (d) बातों-बातों में वह तन गया during the talk he ran into temper.
