vichalit a [used predicatively] ~ होना to be upset, to deflect: इस मृत्यु से वह ~ नहीं हुआ he was not upset by this death; वह न्याय-पथ से ~ हो गया he deflected from the path of justice.

vidhātā mc Creator, Providence: यह संसार उस ~ की सृष्टि है this world is a creation of that --; ~ ने जो भाग्य में लिख दिया है what the -- has ordained (in fate).

vibhinna a various, diverse, different [देश countries, प्रकार kinds, जातियाँ classes, विचार ideas, समस्याएँ problems].

vazīfā mc scholarship, stipend: उसे स्कूल में ~ मिलता है he/ she gets a -- from the school; प्रथम आने का ~ -- for standing first; ~ खाना to enjoy a --; ~ खानेवाला -- holder. [syn. छात्रवृत्ति]

vishrām mu rest [अनन्त, eternal, थोड़ा a little, पूरा complete]; एक घड़ी का ~ a few minutes' --; ~ करना/लेना to take --; वहाँ पहुँचकर हमने एक घंटा ~ किया on reaching there we took rest for an hour. [syn. आराम]
