varjit a disallowed = मना q. v.

vīry mu (a) semen: ~ डालना insemination; ~ गिरता है -- discharges. (b) valour, heroism = वीरता q. v.

vishiṣṭa a (a) special, particular [कार्य job, गुण qualities, मित्र friend, सेवा service]. (b) ~ योग्यता outstanding ability, distinction.

vã̄chhit a desired [पदार्थ object, परिणाम/फल result, सम्मति opinion]

vāīsā a so, such as that: मैंने ~ नहीं सुना था I had not heard --; ~ आदमी a man such as that; ~ ही the same, exactly like that: आज भी मेरा ~ ही हाल है I feel the same even today; मुझे ~ ही खिलौना ला दो bring me a toy of that very type. [cf. ऐसा, जैसा, कैसा]

vidhey mc predicate: वाक्य के दो भाग होते हैं -- उद्देश्य और विधेय a sentence has two parts--subject and predicate; यह विशेषण केवल ~ के रूप में प्रयुक्‍त होता है this adjective is used only predicatively (as a --).
