vilāp mc lamentation, wailing: विधवा का ~ -- of a widow; ~ करना to lament, to wail over; बेचारी माँ बच्चे की मौत पर ~ करती रही the poor mother kept wailing over (lamenting) the death of her son.

veshyā fc prostitute = रंडी q. v.; वेश्यावृत्ति prostitution: वह अब वेश्यावृत्ति से अपना पेट पालती है she now maintains herself by prostitution.
