nipuṇ a (a) skilful, skilled, expert [चित्रकार painter, कलाकार artist]; नृत्य (विद्या, संगीत) में ~ -- in dancing (knowledge, music). (b) efficient, dextrous: वह अपने काम में ~ है he/she is -- in his/her work. [syn. कुशल]

nimagna a (a) submerged: ~ घाटी -- valley; पानी में ~ होना to get -- in the water. (b) absorbed: वह काम में ~ है he/she is -- in his/her work.

nirā a 1. utter [बुध्दू stupid, मूर्ख fool, गँवार rustic]. 2. only, entire; ~ पानी nothing but water; निरी बकवास all nonsense. [syn. बिलकुल]

nāch mu/c dance [भारतीय Indian, नंगा naked]; ~ का कार्यक्रम -- programme; ~ गाना -- and music; ~ रंग dancing entertainment, merry-making; ~ करना to dance [नाचना]; ~ दिखाना to give a -- pertormance; ~ नचाना to make smb -- to one's tune. △ ~ न जाने आँगन टेढ़ा a bad workman quarrels with his tools.

nihshastrīkaraṇ mu disarmament: सेनाओं का ~ -- of armies; ~ की नीति the policy of --; ~ करना to disarm. [also निरस्त्रीकरण]

nirmātā mc (a) builder, maker: भारत (हिन्दी, राष्ट्र) के ~ --s of India (Hindi, nation). (b) manufacturer: वस्त्र- ~ cloth manufacturer. (c) producer: चित्र या फ़िल्म के ~ -- of a picture or film.

nissaṅkoch adv without hesitation, unhesitatingly: ~ भीतर चले जाओ go in --; मैं ~ कह सकता हूँ I can say --.

nad mc big river: सोन और ब्रम्हपुत्र ~ हैं Son and Brahmaputra are --s. [f. नदी]

nafā mu profit, gain = लाभ (more common).
