ghumaṛ·nā vi [restricted to clouds] बादल घुमड़ते हैं or घुमड़ आते हैं clouds gather in the sky. [syn. घिरना (d)]

ghighiyānā vi (a) to falter in speaking. बोलते-बोलते वह घिघियाने लगा he began to falter while speaking. (b) to beseech, to implore: वह घिघियाकर बोला he spoke imploringly.

II. vt (a) to stare at, to peer at: बच्चे आश्चर्य से हाथी को घूरते रहे the children kept staring/peering at the elephant in wonder; उसने अपने चश्मे में से मुझे घूरकर देखा he/she stared/peered at me through his/her eye-glasses.

ghuṭan fu suffocation; इस कमरे में ~ (लगती) है there is -- in this room; ~ पैदा करना to cause --; ~ पैदा करने वाला suffocating [वातावरण atmosphere].

ghuṭāī fu (a) pulverizing, grinding: भाँग की ~ -- of hemp. (b) सिर की ~ clean shave. (c) charges for grinding.
