(b) vacant [मकान house, घंटा period]; ~ जगह-- place/seat, vacancy; हॉल में कोई जगह ~ नहीं है the hall is full; ~ करना to vacate. (c) free, not busy; मैं आज ~ नहीं हूँ I am not free today. (d) ~ बातें bare/mere words; △ ~ बैठना to sit idle, to be unemployed. वार ~ गया the attack was ineffective.
