ḵẖushī fc (a) pleasure, delight [बहुत great, दिली hearty, whole- hearted]; मुझे ~ है I am delighted; आपसे मिलकर or यह जानकर मुझे बहुत ~ हुई है I am delighted to meet you या to know that; ख़ुशी-ख़ुशी or ख़ुशी से cheerfully, with pleasure; मैं यह काम ~-~ or ~ से करूँगा I'll do this job with pleasure या cheerfully; उसका दिल ~ से भर गया his heart was filled with delight/joy. (b) rejoicing; आज ~ का दिन है it is a day of -- today; खुशियाँ मनाना to rejoice; उन्होंने ~ मनाई they re joiced. △ ~ से फूल उठना to exult, to be overjoyed; ~ से फूला न समाना not to contain oneself with joy. nāḵẖush a displeased: वह मुझ से ~ है he is -- with me; किसी को ~ करना to displease a person. [syn. अप्रसन्न]

nārāz a displeased: क्या मुझसे ~ है he/she is -- with me; ~ करना to displease. [syn. अप्रसन्न, नाख़ुश, रुष्ट]

nārāz·gī fu displeasure: मैं उसकी ~ से डरता हूँ I am afraid of his/her --; मेरी उससे कोई ~ नहीं है I have no -- against him/her; गहरी ~ grave --. [syn. अप्रसन्नता]

prasanna a pleased, happy, glad: ~ चित्त happy mind; ~ मुख happy face; मैं उसके परीक्षा-फल से ~ हूँ I am pleased with his exam. result; तुम उससे मिलकर ~ होगे you will be happy/pleased to meet her/him; वह ~ दिखाई देता था he looked happy; आशा है कि आप ~ होंगे it is hoped that you will be happy; ~ करना to please: नौकर ने स्वामी को ~ कर दिया the servant pleased the master.

prasannatā fu pleasure, delight: मुझे तुम्हारी सहायता करके ~ होगी it will give me pleasure to help you, I shall be glad to help you; यह ~ का विषय है it is a matter of delight; मुझे बड़ी ~ हुई I had great pleasure, I was greatly pleased.
