parāyā a (a) other's: ~ माल -- goods; परायी संपत्ति -- property; △ ~ घर थूकने का भी डर one is never at ease in another's house; पराये घर पर लक्ष्मी नारायण one can be generous with others' money. (b) alien: ~ देश -- country; पराये लोग -- people.

parichārikā fc (a) female attendant [घरेलू domestic, परिश्रमी industrious, अनुभवी experienced]; राजा की परिचारिकाएँ king's --s. (b) nurse [कर्त्तव्यपरायण dutiful, प्रशिक्षित trained]; हस्पताल की परिचारिकाएं nurses in a hospital.
