bharāpūrā a (a) flourishing [घर home, परिवार family]. (b) complete, comprehensive [उदा- हरण example, विश्‍वास trust].

bhāg·nā vi to run away, to flee: वह डरकर भाग गई she ran away frightened; लड़ाई के मैदान से भाग गए ran away from the battle- field; सिर पर पैर रखकर भागा fled headlong; चोर भाग गया the thief absconded (ran away); किसी को ले ~ to carry away smb/smth; भाग खड़ा होना to take to one's heels: हड़ताल करनेवाले भाग खड़े हुए the strikers took to their heels; भाग निकलना to escape. △ भागते भूत की लँगोटी ही सही a penny saved is a penny gained.
