piṭ·vānā vt [caus. from पिटना] to cause to be beaten: उसे नौकर से पिटवाया गया he/she was got beaten by the servant.

pataṅgā mc moth: पतंग दीये पर जलते है moths burn themselves on the lamp; पतंगे हवा में उड़ते हैं moths fly in the air.
