abhiyog mc 1. charge, accusation; वह चोरी के ~ में पकड़ा गया he was arrested on the charge of theft; पर ~ लगाना to charge, to accuse: उन्होंने ख़ज़ांची पर चोरी का ~ लगाया they charged/accused the cashier of theft [syn. इलज़ाम] 2. case, law-suit; ~ चलाना to institute a --; ~ वापस लेना to withdraw the --. [syn. मुक़द्दमा].

akṣar mc letter (s) [छो़टे small, बड़े capital, पहला first, नागरी Nagari]; वह एक ~ भी नहीं जानता he does not know even a single -- , he is illiterate; ~-~ पूरा करना to do literally.

ãg·ṛāī fc (pl. अँगड़ाइयाँ) stretching (the body), twisting (the limbs); बुखार में ~ आती है the body twists in fever; बाघ ने ~ ली the tiger twisted his body; ~ लेना/तोडना to stretch the body, to oscitate.

abhivādan mu greeting; गुरु जी तो मेरा ~ दीजिएगा please convey my greeting to the master; का ~ करना to greet, to pay respects to.

aṛosī - paṛosī mc (usu. pl.) neighbours, people all about; हमारे ~ सब अच्छे हैं our -- s are all good.

aṛos - paṛos mu vicinity, neighbourhood [गंदा dirty, साफ़ clean]; ~ के लोग neighbours; ~ के मकान neighbouring houses. [see पड़ोस, syn. अगल- बगल].
