bãdh·vānā, बँधाना bãdhā- nā [caus. of बाँधना] vt (a) गाय ~ to get a cow tied. (b) पुल ~ to get a bridge constructed. (c) पुस्तक की जिल्द ~ to get a book bound. (d) हिम्मत/धीरज ~ to prompt one to take courage/heart. (e) चोरों को ~ to get the thieves nabbed.

bã̄dh·nā vt (a) to tie: प़ग़ड़ी (गाय-भैंस, हाथ-पैर) ~ -- turban (cows and buffaloes, hands and feet); कुत्ते को रस्सी से ~ -- a dog with a string/rope; कसकर or ढीला ~ -- tightly या loosely.
