gaṛ·baṛ I. a (a) confusing [बात thing, हिसाब-किताब account, हालत condition]. (b) disorderly [काग़ज़ात documents, सामान goods]. (c) haphazard [कार्रवाई action, लिखाई writing]. II. fu (a) confusion; विचारों, (प्रश्नपत्रों, मन, किताबों) में ~ -- in ideas (question papers, mind, books). (b) mess; तुमने सब ~ कर दी you have made a mess of everything; कुछ ~ है there is something wrong.

gaṛ·barī f = गड़बड़.

gaṛ·baṛānā I. vi (a) to be confused; यह सुनकर मैं गड़बड़ा गया I got confused on hearing this. (b) to be disturbed; सारी पुस्तकें गड़बड़ाई हुई हैं all the books are disturbed; नींद गड़बड़ाई the sleep was disturbed. II. vt to confuse; तुम दो बातों को गड़बड़ा रहे हो you are confusing two things.
