ḍaṭ·nā vi to stand firm, to remain stubborn: युद्धभूमि में सैनिक डटे हुए हैं soldiers are standing firm in the battle-field; वे वहीं डट गये they stood firm there; वे वहीं डटे रहे they stuck stubbornly there; सिपाही डटकर लड़े the soldiers fought stubbornly.
