lapaṭ·nā vi to cling, etc. = लिपटना q. v.

lipaṭ·nā vi (a) to cling: बच्चा माँ से लिपट गया the child clung to its mother. (b) to stick: काग़ज़ से लिपटे हुए नोट notes stuck to the paper. (c) to coil around: तार रील पर लिपटा था wire was coiled around the reel. [syn. (a) चिपटना, (b) लपेटा जाना]
