yā conj (1) or: एक या दो दिन में in a day or two; कल या परसों yesterday or day before; tomorrow or day after; वह आएगा या नहीं ? will he come or not ? आप चावल लेंगे या रोटी will you take rice or bread ? (2) आप या (तो) ...या either ...or: आप या (तो) सेब ले लें या संतरा you may have either apple or orange; या यहाँ या वहाँ either here or there.
